PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING
Today we celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism as Denise Massey publicly professes her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. We will welcome the Massey’s at the close of worship this morning. Welcome Denise and Jim to our OTPC family!
The September Elder of the Month is Susan Burwell.
Faithful Ones Presentation
This morning we welcome Ms. Wanda Hilliard from the Bay St. Louis Boys and Girls Club who will receive the OTPC contribution of $400 for her organization. This donation comes from the weekly offering of your Faithful Ones. To see our Faithful Ones at work is a blessing! Please remember your Faithful Ones each week.
Sandra Power and Dorothy Roberts enjoyed a Thanksgiving lunch with Miss Helen at Seashore on Thursday. Miss Helen is feeling well and enjoying socializing with all of her new friends.
The November Elder of the Month is Amy Egolf.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Greening of the Church
November 28th, the day after Thanksgiving, we will meet at OTPC at 1:00 P.M. for the annual “Hanging of the Greens”. Everyone’s help is needed especially someone who can climb the ladder to the balcony.
Advent Appetizers: Preparing for Christmas
We will have an OTPC Second Sunday in Advent morning of Church Fellowship following our service of worship. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex to list what you would like to bring. There are still plenty of spots available. See Chanda Parnell if you have questions. This will be a wonderful way for us to be together and to prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of Christmas.Following worship on 09/21, we will have a fall potluck fellowship. Plan to be here and bring a friend.
BLESSING BOX:
The Blessing Box is placed at the front of the church. This Free Food Pantry is very active in our community and clearly serving many in need. Contributions may be placed in the basket in the Narthex. You may also make donations through the Amazon Gift Registry. You will find written instructions for using this Registry in the Narthex.
SPECIAL PRAYER CONCERNS:
We ask our Heavenly Father to continue to guide our world leaders to find solutions to bring peace in our world.
Keep those facing challenges in life in prayer to find the way to Christ and feel his love and hope. We ask for our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, to grant peace and comfort to those that are grieving or feeling anxious.
As our church family grows, we are grateful to see God’s church at work in so many ways. As we continue God’s work, keep our Church in prayer to find ways to continue to share our love and caring to others.
