A fine 'GOOD MORNING', fellow Saints of the OTPC Congregation!
Seems the Church has again survived a Cruisin' the Coast endeavor and come out in the black from generous donations contributed. Just the one day, due to the threat of Hurricane Isaias, but the proceeds made the effort very worthwhile ($1,297.00 earned and thankful for!).
A most hearty thanks to our several volunteers who well-supported the parking project from planning to execution and follow through. Our prayers are still needed for the survivors east of us who did not escape the waves, wind, and general chaos the awful storm brought.
Ruling Elder Amy Egolf has asked the following be published for your information regarding distribution of our "Faithful Ones":
"Faithful Ones" donations are made in June and December of each year. Please provide Pastor Richard or any of the Ruling Elders suggestions of worthy organizations you'd like to see considered. Decisions of organizations that will receive collected dollars will be made by the OTPC Session in May for June, and November for December distributions. THANK YOU for your generous support of this successful outreach mission!
As the primary purpose of this missive is to update you on those in need of prayer, here is our current list:

The nation, as we approach the midterm elections
The endurance of our Democracy
Our church and all of its worshipers, including visitors
And here it comes! Know you've all been anxiously awaiting the coming of this event ... BRING A FRIEND SUNDAY, Y'all, and it's THIS COMING SUNDAY!
Reach out and grab those someones who've been so hoping WE would care enough to ask them to come join the worship and fun at our stupendous church! Well, NO BETTER TIME! Besides, it's CHILI TIME and your Ruling Elders are bringing in their spicy and not-so-spicy versions of favorite recipes from all over! Your opinions as to the very best crock or stewpot full of wunder stuff DO MATTER!
Presbyterian Women: Ladies, it's not too early to put the P.W. Bible Study on your calendars. Next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 3, 9:45 a.m. Bible study begins at 10:00 a.m. Please plan to be there!
