Cruising the Coast
We're gearing up for OTPC's Cruising the Coast parking outreach mission, OTPC's largest fundraiser of the year.
CTC Dates are:
Thursday, October 8; Friday, October 9; and Saturday, October 10.
Hours each day will be 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (including daily set up and tear down).Si gn up sheets for volunteers to work the two welcome tents, to help park cars in the two lots, and to donate bottles of water, bags of ice, sandwich makings, etc. will be in the narthex starting Sunday, September 13. To officially run the event, we will need a minimum of 8 people to man the Donations Tent and 8 people to assist with parking for each of the three days. Not only is this a wonderful way to financially support our church, this is a terrific way to spend time with our Church Family. Please join us!
“Bring a Friend Sunday”
”Bring a Friend Sunday" will be October 25th. The Session approved a Chili Cook Off to follow worship with the chili to be prepared by session members.
SPECIAL REQUESTS:
Little Pantry Blessing Box:
Please continue to remember to contribute to the Blessing Box which is placed at the front of the church. Donations can be placed in the basket in the Narthex. Please remember to add a few items to your shopping cart for the blessing box.
SPECIAL PRAYER CONCERNS:
May the caregivers in our congregation who are serving family and friends feel strength, courage, and hope as they continue to bring God’s comfort and love.
We ask our awesome God to lead OTPC in finding ways to be a mission of hope and love in our community.
We continue to pray for world peace. Please continue to pray for our armed forces as they go into harm’s way. We know all things are possible when we place the world’s complex problems at the feet of Jesus Christ. May our prayers be answered in the coming days.
We pray for those facing challenges in life that they may come to Christ in prayer and feel his love and hope. We ask for our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, to grant peace and comfort to those that are grieving or feeling anxious. May you have a peaceful week.
Our country continues to face division as we face the midterm elections. We continue to pray for our democracy that it may endure.
Thank you to all for lifting up all of these prayer concerns this week. If you know of a concern not listed here, please send an email to susan@boowell.net.
Hope to see all of you in church!
