THIRD SUNDAY
AFTER PENTECOST

PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING:    The June Elder of the Month is Steve Stovall.

UPCOMING EVENTS:    Session Meeting:The June stated meeting of the OTPC session will be today following worship.  Please continue to keep the members of our session in prayer for guidance as they make decisions to move OTPC forward.  Feel free to speak to a member of the session if you have a special concern or suggestion for the good of our church family.

Adult Sunday School:  Each Sunday art 9:00 am, all are invited to attend our Adult Sunday School Class in the Fellowship Hall Classroom.  Faye Krouse always leads the class in engaging conversations about Bible verses which are, most often, repeated and expounded upon by Reverend Dr. Gillespie during 10 am worship.

Date to be Announced:   “Bring a Friend Sunday”  will be celebrated at a later time with a date set by the session.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:  Little Pantry Blessing Box: Please continue to remember to contribute to the Blessing Box which is placed in the front yard of our church.

SPECIAL PRAYER CONCERNS:  Greg Poindexter asks for prayer for eight year old, Clark Hibert, who underwent open heart surgery in the last week.  Please pray for healing for Clark and peace and comfort for his family and friends.

We remember those of our church family as they travel during the summer months. May they travel safely and return home to our family at OTPC.

May the caregivers in our congregation who are serving family and friends feel strength, courage, and hope as they continue to bring God’s comfort and love.

As OTPC continues to be a beacon of hope and love to all in our community, we ask our loving Lord to guide us to find new ways that we may continue to serve.

As progress for peace in the Middle East seems to be drawing closer,  we ask our Heavenly Father to guide all parties to find a way to lasting peace.

CONTINUED PRAYER CONCERNS FOR THOSE DEALING WITH LONG TERM HEALTH CONDITIONS:  Sandra and Billy Power, Kim and Bill Case, Michelle and Jere Hess, Kip Chandler, Dorothy Roberts, and Sally Narbonne.

May we all come together in peace and civility as we celebrate this great country’s 250th birthday!

We pray for those facing challenges in life that they may come to Christ in prayer and feel his love and hope.  We ask for our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, to grant peace and comfort to those who are grieving or feeling anxious.  May you each have a peaceful week.

Thank you to all for lifting all of these prayer concerns this week.  If you know of any concern that needs to be listed here, please send an email to
susan@boowell.net.

Hope to see all of you in church!
Susan
