NINTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING: The July Elder of the Month is Kevin Krouse. We give thanks that Joyce Minton is healing well after surgery. Prayers of Thanksgiving that Vonnie Williams' knee replacement surgery was successful, and she is continuing her recovery at home. UPCOMING EVENTS: Adult Sunday School:Each Sunday at 9:00 am. All are invited to attend our Adult Sunday School Class in the Fellowship Hall Classroom. Faye Krouse always leads the class in engaging conversations about the Bible and faith-related classes. Presentation of OTPC Faithful Ones: During worship on July 26th, a dual presentation of our Faithful Ones will be presented to the Boys and Girls Club of Bay St. Louis and the Hancock County Food Bank. Members of the Boys and Girls Club Choir, The Shining Stars Gospel Choir, will join our OTPC choir for a great musical addition to our worship service. Be sure to be with us! SPECIAL REQUESTS: Little Pantry Blessing Box: Please continue to remember to contribute to the Blessing Box which is placed at the front of the church. Vonnie Williams has been so devoted to replenish the Blessing Box twice a day. As she recovers from her knee replacement surgery, OTPC needs volunteers to fill the box at least once daily. Volunteers can take a week at a time or split time with a partner. If you can help, please let a member of the session know and details can be shared. SPECIAL PRAYER CONCERNS: Jere Hess will undergo several cardiac procedures in the coming days. We pray that Jere’s procedures will be successful and provide him with more strength and energy. Our prayers are also for Michelle as she stands by Jere’s side. May they both feel the love and comfort that only our precious Lord Jesus can bring. Carolyn Ishee asks for prayers for her brother, Steve Floyd, who will undergo a Watchman Implant on 7/29. We ask for a successful procedure and a quick recovery. We continue to remember Sandra Power and Kim Case, their family, and friends during their time of loss. May the caregivers in our congregation who are serving family and friends feel strength, courage, and hope as they continue to bring God’s comfort and love. As OTPC continues to be a beacon of hope and love to all in our community, we ask our loving Lord to guide us to find new ways that we may continue to serve. CONTINUED PRAYER CONCERNS FOR THOSE DEALING WITH LONG TERM HEALTH CONDITIONS: Kip Chandler, Ray Abney, Mikey Nelson’s best friend’s father, and Sally Narbonne. We continue to pray for the end of hostilities and peace to be restored in the Middle East. We pray for our armed forces as they go into harm’s way. We especially remember the families of the “Fallen”. As we remember the sacrifices that these heroes have made, we ask our awesome God to surround their loved ones with comfort and peace during this time of loss. May our Loving God find ways to help us heal our division and bring us closer to Him who can heal all things. We pray for those facing challenges in life that they may come to Christ in prayer and feel his love and hope. We ask for our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, to grant peace and comfort to those who are grieving or feeling anxious. May you have a peaceful week.
