CAN YOU HELP?
Notre Dame Hospice is in need of volunteers around Diamondhead (includes Waveland, Bay St Louis, Pass Christian). Duties would include sitting with patients, reading to patients, playing games, aiding caregivers with errands, and support to the family with bereavement. Training will be provided by the volunteer coordinator, Janine Bonner. You may reach Janine at 504-418-1049
BLESSING BOX:
The Blessing Box is placed at the front of the church. This Free Food Pantry is very active in our community and clearly serving many in need. Contributions may be placed in the basket in the Narthex. Please think about adding items to your shopping cart each week. If it is more convenient to make a monetary donation, you may do so by noting on your check “Blessing Box”. The most popular items are tuna and chicken salad packets, potted meats and any protein items with pop tops. Personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes and travel size toiletries are also needed. The pantry is moving in the direction of needing more "hands on" support to keep the pantry stocked. If you are able to help with the restocking, please speak with the pastor or Vonn Williams.
SPECIAL PRAYER CONCERNS:
Keep those facing challenges in life in prayer for find the way to Christ and feel his love and hope. We ask for our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, to grant peace and comfort to those that are grieving or facing anxiety.
We pray for an end to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. We also pray for our nation as our leaders strive to solve the many problems facing us.
As our church family grows, we are grateful to see God’s church at work in so many ways. As we continue God’s work, keep our Church in prayer to find ways to continue to share our love and caring to others. Please remember those serving in church leadership for strength and courage as they guide our OTPC congregation into the future.
